Clean?

Living in here for so long, I’ve seen AI get in and out of hot water. Having so many friends, and especially with the aid of social networks, I’ve read and heard a lot of different opinions on who he is and what he is not. :)

It is sad. Verily, it is sad. It is confusing. And it causes a lot of headache. 

But people forget stuff sometimes, they remember some butt-occurence because it keeps on popping up but they forget some lady-dying occurence because the media is controlled by that very leader. I am not making assumptions, but hearing this and that, seeing this and that, I can say that the people of this country forgot that what a person is, was and what they stand for could be very different. And the concept of time is equally ignored- way too easily. Look at the case of the infamous Gaddhaaffi. that guy has died a humiliating death, but some people will remember his handsome days when he started out clean, and others will remember what he destroyed while trying to ‘defend’ his whatever- be it country from the West, be it wealth or be it ego!

Another point  I wish I could draw their attention to is that there are people walking around saying, as they hear of Clean Campaign, that ” Be grateful, you are nothing like  Yemen, Syria, Libya, Egypt, etc.” Undeniably true, but that is for now. What is the assurance that letting things go at this stage would not let us fall to the state of the Arab countries? 

Besides, all the people equivocally agree that there is some dirt somewhere, so letting it go, isn’t it not caring about the FUTURE of your country? can allowing dirt to continually be present, after acknowledging its presence, make the situation clean, ever? Isn’t it a little selfish to enjoy this comfort and pretend nothing is happening, and letting our progeny suffer the consequences instead? If you can’t stand silently at Independence Square without being choked with some gas, mightn’t you as well be standing in Syria or Palestine?   Nothing happens overnight- it is equally true for loss of freedom of speech. 

I am not patriotic, I am not politically active or interested but I care about what happens in this country. It’s one of the few developed Islamic countries. It’d be painful to lose this pride too.  Remember, you might be afraid of uncertainty and change, but if nothing changes then you won’t develop, time  won’t stand still and chaos will still increase. 

And what makes you think you’ll lose if you are protesting peacefully?

Human beings are very selfish..

Even being parents, sacrificing everything for their children is selfish, from beginning to end!

Just think about it, we marry for various needs from sexual, from wanting religious goals, from wanting financial stability to satisfying a need for someone by our side.

We then have kids either by accident, from a selfish act, or on purpose, to have someone to look at, scold, boss around, love, or to care for- and ultimately that person is expected to care back for us, now and later. We enforce our beliefs, our culture, our genes, our diseases, our weaknesses and strength, and our goals, including those which WE OURSELVES FAILED TO ACHIEVE be it seeking career, love, education, money, or even revenge. We let go of our angers and fears on them, and expect them to feel the same.

In the end we say “I sacrificed everything for you”- stating whatever you held dearest to you that you willingly let go for your child! Is it sacrifice if you will remember (and remind others) about it? Is it a sacrifice if it wasn’t asked for or expected? Yes, the society expects you to nurse your child or put it in a good school, or the law expects you to take care of it and make sure it’s well fed. However, did that child ask you to, from day 1 of creation? No, I know that it can’t too, but did it inform you it wishes to be created in this beautiful, temporary world, where it has to feel pain it never did anything to get?

In the end you teach that child to be selfish too, just like you were. Be it the child wants warmth, love, attention, milk, chocolate, a toy, its own children or relief from pain!

 This is not a display of anger or hatred, merely it’s a reminder that:

1. your children didn’t get to choose their parents,
2. and yet they adore you
3. therefore, be at your best behavior
4. if you had things in your past that you didn’t like, change those regrets by being better for your kids, not by forcing them into the future you wanted..

i am up all night, beside my bed, because i know, the moment i close my eyes, like a reflex, i’ll start thinking and worrying about you…if i try to change ideas and think positively, i’ll start remembering what we were like and tear up but not cry..if i shake the reality away, i’ll start fantasizing about an alternate future.. so simply put, my efforts are futile… :)

sometimes i feel like rejecting the entire world and all that is within it..

but I am incapable of even doing that..

I slowly got to know myself

I like to wash the dishes especially when I’m unhappy

If I had my own kitchen, it’d be very clean and organized as would by my wardrobes, bedroom and living room..

I love making desserts.. especially those considered traditional and ancient..

I like cooking by following written recipe instructions and quantities, not randomly throwing a pinch or a fist of anything :P

I work best when I am alone, or when people around me are asleep.. :) That includes studying and cooking.. I am therefore considered  ’very lazy’ when my mom and sister have a holiday with me and ‘hyperactive and awesome’ when nobody bosses me around or even ‘kindly’ tells me what to do- trust me, i may do miracles .. 

TIP: If i am quiet, don’t fret about it, just let me be..as noisy as i might be, when i m quiet, i choose and want to be quiet..

                CONGRATULATIONS!! WOOHOO!! YOU ARE READY TO TAKE ON ANY OTHER CHALLENGE LIFE THROWS AT YOU!

Remember those torturous nights and days?

Now no more, not even marriage/childbirth should do that to you, coz you are a winner, and you rock my world!!

You are my hero! You are who I wanna be, coz I am standing now, unable to drive and wondering how will i do those experiments..
